Im still here

I haven't blogged in a little bit, I know! My food logging went to CRAP and I need to get back to that ASAP! It was nice to have that daily log and look back to see what I ate. Even just before I started writing, I looked back at some of the stuff and thought "wow, I have got to ge back to that"! Its funny how I can forget some of the simplest things. Through the logging I was trying to focus on fruits and veggies with every meal. Right now I cant say that I am following through with that so much, but today is sunday and I can make a good plan for the week and get back on track, right? ABSOLUTELY!

So, I will start training for a half marathon next month. YEP! I had such a wonderful experience with Team In Training last year, that I just had to do it again. I love the cause and the great people I have met along the way. Team In Training has taught me so much - Mentally, spiritually, and physically. Personally, I learned to dedicate runs to those that cant run to help me get through tough runs. I learned to push myself and dig deeper for that inner strength and just go for it. I met (online) a wonderful mom and her son that was battling leukemia last year, and he was just tired and went to be with our Father in Heaven last August. He is still near and dear to my heart. Something just brought me close to them and I will ALWAYS run for RYAN!

I started my morning off planning on getting in a run, but my lower back and hip area has been bothering me. A weird adjusting pain. Once I am standing, I am fine, but to change positions from siting to standing or standing to sitting, its like I have to take about 20 to 30 seconds to adjust slowly. So this morning, I sucked it up, prayed before I went out the door and off I went. It was a beautiful morning out! Kind of chilly too. My plan for 3 miles turned into 4 and I loved every minute of it!

It's going to be a great day and I hope that you all enjoy your weekend and extra day off tomorrow. Also to remember why we are off! I am truly grateful for all the sacrifices that were made for us and the ones that are continually being made. We are a blessed nation!

Much Love,
